Founder’s Note
When I began college, I quickly realized that I would have to learn many things beyond academics – how to make a new place feel like home, structure my time, and, eventually, land a job. While I learned from all these challenges, it was the following one that shaped me profoundly.
One evening, during orientation, my peers and I were gathered in a hall to listen to our university president discuss what college and education are for. College should help you understand what you want from life and prepare to pursue it. That was the gist.
Among all the challenges I faced in college, this was the hardest: understanding what I wanted from life and choosing the right pathways through college to pursue it. Since then, I have been deeply interested in education and preparing high schoolers for college. I have started RECO to pursue these aims.
